Wayne State University, Albion College and Kalamazoo College Hitting Camps
We are excited to announce that we will be running three hitting programs in November/December from three of the better academic institutions in the State, Kalamazoo College, Albion College and Wayne State University.
Each coaching staff will run a hitting clinic and evaluate each athlete. All three programs continue to recruit heavily in the tri-county area.
Wayne State had a tremendous 2017 season, qualifying for the DII regional. They ended up finishing 3rd in he region, just two wins shy of the DII World Series. Coach Ryan Kelly has done a great job with his team and continues to grow the program including the development of Harwell field.
Albion is finishing up a major renovation project to their athletic complex which will be as good as any in the area once completed. Coach Carden has been the head of the program since 2003 and has several players from Oakland county as regular contributors to his roster.
Kalamazoo finished the 2016 season by winning the MIAA Championship and advancing to the DIII Regional. In 2017 the Hornets followed up with a 31-14 record. KZoo has outstanding facilities, and continue to have a strong commitment to improving athletics. Coach Ott is entering his 6th year as the KZoo head coach and has had increasing success since he took the job.
All three schools have strong academic and athletic traditions and would be outstanding options for athletes looking to further their baseball careers.
